Issue for July 31, 2026

RHMZ forecasts sunny, very hot weather for 31 July: 35–38°C nationwide and around 37°C in Belgrade. N1 says temperatures may reach 40°C in coming days, with emergency-staff advice in force.

Water will be shut off on 31 July while a new pipeline is put into service. The outage affects sections of Dimitrija Tucovića, Čingrijina, Preševska, Milana Rakića and eight more streets; the city will provide water tankers.

Serbia's government proposes removing the existing limit that allows fuel excise to be cut by no more than 20%. This is still a draft law, not a new reduction in petrol or diesel prices.

On the evening of 30 July, a vegetation fire by the railway stopped traffic between Belgrade and Novi Sad. Reports from the scene said a train from Belgrade stopped in Nova Pazova and the opposite service in Beška, while firefighters intervened.
