Serbia reports 11 West Nile fever cases
Serbia’s Batut public-health institute said 11 West Nile fever cases had been recorded since 1 June, five more than a week earlier. Ten cases had the more severe neuroinvasive form.

The RHMZ forecast calls for 35–40°C from 20 to 25 August, locally up to 42°C in central and southern Serbia. Belgrade is expected to reach 35–38°C; dry conditions and wind may sustain wildfire risk.
Two groups of prescription medicines become cheaper
From 17 August, 18 medicines in two groups are cheaper: according to 021, prices fell to about RSD 600–1,100, with patients paying 30% and the state covering 70%. A prescription is required.
Serbia has recorded six West Nile fever cases since June
According to Batut, six cases were recorded from 1 June to 16 August: two each in Belgrade, South Banat and Central Banat. The patients' average age is 64.
