Transfusion Institute urgently calls to replenish blood reserves

Serbia's Blood Transfusion Institute says reserves of A+, O+ and all negative blood groups are critically low and calls on healthy adult donors to give blood as soon as possible. The institute receives volunteers on weekdays from 07:00 to 19:00 and Saturdays from 08:00 to 15:00; ITKS publishes the mobile-team schedule.

New rules expand access to glucose sensors for young people with type 1 diabetes and pregnant women

RFZO rules in force since June 9 preserve sensor eligibility after age 18 for people who qualified as children and extend it to patients first diagnosed with type 1 diabetes after 18 who take at least four insulin doses a day. They also cover patients on that therapy before conception, during pregnancy and for one year after childbirth.

Interior Ministry warns of a prolonged heatwave in Serbia: up to 40°C from July 30

A heat warning has been issued for all of Serbia: from July 30, N1 reports, highs of 35–40°C are expected for at least five consecutive days. The warning will also be sent by SMS; on July 29 an orange meteoalarm covers Bačka, Banat, Pomoravlje and south-eastern Serbia, with yellow elsewhere.

N1 and Danas report warm, mostly dry weather in Serbia on July 28, with highs up to 33°C. Citing RHMZ and meteorologist Slobodan Sovilj, Kurir says 34–38°C is expected from July 29 and temperatures may locally reach around 40°C in early August.

Apoteke Beograd promises to clear wage arrears in September

After meeting Serbia's president, the Opstanak union said Apoteke Beograd will receive operating funds in August and all wage arrears in September. Health insurance and pension-service records are to be restored on July 28, according to the union; the institution's final status remains undecided.
