BVK says consumers at listed addresses in 13 Belgrade municipalities—from Stari grad and Vračar to Surčin and Barajevo—are without water until 15:00 on 7 August. Tankers were dispatched, including to Kovilovo, Ritopek, Mali Mokri Lug, Ripanj, Slavija, Republic Square, Zeleni venac and the Fair.
Bačka Palanka declared an emergency situation on 6 August after its emergency staff met over a landfill fire that began overnight from Tuesday to Wednesday. 021 and Danas report dense smoke in town; residents are advised to keep windows closed, avoid outdoor exertion and air rooms only after the smoke clears.
BVK says consumers at listed addresses in 13 Belgrade municipalities will be without water until 22:00 on 6 August, from Stari Grad and Vračar to Grocka, Barajevo and Surčin. The utility has also sent tankers to Kovilovo, Ritopek, Mali Mokri Lug, Radiofar, Barajevo, Veliki Borak, Pinosava, Slavija, Republic Square, Zeleni Venac and the Fair.
N1 reports that 5 and 6 August will be the heat-wave peak: Serbia is expected to reach 35–40°C, with up to 40°C in Bačka, northern Banat and northern Srem. The highest heat alert applies across most of the country; a modest cooldown and local thunderstorms are forecast from Friday.
The City of Belgrade published two fault lists for 5 August: some repairs were scheduled by 15:00 and the remainder by 22:00. Consumers in the listed and nearby streets across 12 city municipalities were without water; a separate list named 14 tanker locations, including three vehicles for Ritopek.
