Vucic announces measures package: pensioner payments, aid for benefit recipients and cheaper medicines

On June 29 Aleksandar Vucic presented a package of measures worth more than 600 million euros: pensioners were promised one-off payments of 35,000, 27,500 or 20,000 dinars depending on pension level, social-assistance recipients 25,000 dinars, families receiving child allowance 25,000 dinars per child, and pensioners with income up to 80,000 dinars 30,000 tourism vouchers worth 10,000 dinars each. N1 and Danas highlighted the pension package's cost, the end-September deadline and medicine co-payment cuts of 10-40%, while Kurir and Novosti framed the package as major state aid and added Vucic's claim that it would be paid without new debt.

On June 29, RHMZ again warned of highs of 36-39 C and outdoor fire risk in areas with moisture deficits; AMSS, via N1, advises drivers not to travel in the hottest part of the day. 021 says Novi Sad will see 22-39 C, UV index 8, and a recommendation to avoid sun from 10:00 to 16:00. N1 and Danas separately point to work-safety rules in the heat: for outdoor work above 36 C, water, shade or cooled break space, first aid, and construction-site safety measures are needed.

Around 00:50 on June 28, ammonia leaked at Prvomajska 9 in Guca; MUP said seven people were evacuated, four were taken to the hospital in Cacak, ammonia transfer was completed, and the firefighter-rescue intervention ended at 06:55. A public warning was activated at 02:27, but some Telekom Srbija users received it through the "Pronadji me" system instead of the regular emergency-alert system.

RHMZ said June 28 would be sunny and very hot in Serbia, with highs of 35-39 °C, while Danas recorded 35 °C at noon in seven named places, including Belgrade and Novi Sad; by feels-like temperature, Novi Sad was hottest at 39 °C and Belgrade at 38 °C. AMSS separately advises drivers to travel early in the morning or late in the evening because of the heat.

Danas says the heatwave is expected to last until July 2 with temperatures up to 39 °C, 021 warns Novi Sad of 38-39 °C over the weekend, and public-health institutes advise avoiding open sun during the hottest hours and watching for heatstroke symptoms.

Parliament adopts judicial-law package from 32-item agenda

On June 25, parliament adopted amendments to laws on public prosecution, judges, the High Prosecutorial Council, court and prosecutor territories, and bodies for fighting high-tech crime. Those five judicial laws were part of voting on 32 items, alongside transplantation, support for young first-home buyers, international agreements, and state guarantees for Srbijagas.
