Belgrade's Higher Public Prosecutor's Office filed an optužni predlog, a charge proposal under Serbian procedure, against Miloš N., 40. The prosecution says he took part in the war in Ukraine from September 2024 to November 2025 as a member of a Russian military formation.
N1 reports that after an interim ECHR measure, an excavator and City Cleanliness crews left the informal settlement site in Voždovac. The halt runs until 1 September; A11 says more than 30 residents, including 15 children, are affected.
According to GRECO's report, Serbia satisfactorily implemented three of 24 recommendations, ten partially, while no progress was recognised on 11. The report says there are no concrete results on several integrity measures since the previous assessment.
After the indictment was confirmed, Goran Vesić and Anita Dimoski remain at liberty instead of under house arrest. The court cited a technical problem in calculating the measure's duration and sent the papers to the Court of Appeal.
Prosecutor Vukašin Vujičić's car was burned near his home. The justice minister condemned the attack and said attacks on judicial officials must be investigated.
Students in blockade will hold a 14 August rally marking the protest anniversary: gathering is at 19:00 outside the Valjevo Gymnasium, with the main programme from 20:00 to 21:00. Organisers link it to the night of 14–15 August 2025, when protests led to clashes with police and injuries.
