Low Danube water near Novi Sad has exposed remains of the Island Redoubt, a late-17th-century fortification that protected Petrovaradin Fortress, N1 reports. Shallow water is also hampering boats and barges: fuel and grain move in smaller loads or shift to more expensive road and rail transport.

Passenger vehicles leaving Serbia for Croatia through Batrovci are waiting about four hours on 7 August, with a queue roughly 5.5 km long. FoNet reports no delay in the other direction; weekend queues may remain the same or grow.

Routes 46 and 55 change in Zvezdara from 7 to 16 August

Because works close part of Gospodara Vučića Street between Bulevar kralja Aleksandra and Vojislava Ilića Street, routes 46 and 55 are diverted from 7 to 16 August. Route 46 uses Vojislava Ilića, Ustanička, Bulevar kralja Aleksandra and Mite Ružića in both directions, while 55 follows different detours towards Zvezdara and back.

At most 15 of 113 Belgrade trams are air-conditioned, union estimate says

N1 relays a Nova ekonomija report saying that none of the 30 CAF trams is currently in service, leaving GSP to rely on older vehicles without air conditioning. A union representative estimates that, among 113 trams entering service, at most 15 new Bozankaya vehicles are air-conditioned, provided they run all day without breakdowns. GSP had not responded by publication.

Lines 72 and 72N temporarily skip stops until 15 August

From 5 to 15 August, buses 72 and 72N are diverted in both directions because of stormwater and sewage works near the junction of Nedeljka Gvozdenovića and Surčinska streets. Ten stops are temporarily withdrawn for line 72; night line 72N skips five of them, some in only one direction.

N1 reports more than 350 layoffs at state-owned Srbija Kargo; two workers in Niš said they received termination notices on 3 August after 25 and 30 years of service. The notices cite redundancy, unprofitable operations and a weakening market position; the workers say selection criteria were not explained, and the report contains no company response to N1’s questions.
