Air Serbia plans direct Niš flights to Vienna and Malta from 25 October, twice weekly on Wednesdays and Sundays, N1 reports, citing the company statement. Tickets are to be sold through the carrier's website and app, offices and authorised agencies.
Serbia’s government has sent parliament three draft laws for dinar loans for the Belgrade–Zrenjanin–Novi Sad motorway. 021 gives caps of 13 billion dinars from UniCredit Bank Srbija, 5 billion from Banca Intesa and 10 billion from NLB Komercijalna banka—28 billion in total; the project's 2026 budget borrowing ceiling is 35 billion dinars.
Low Danube water near Novi Sad has exposed remains of the Island Redoubt, a late-17th-century fortification that protected Petrovaradin Fortress, N1 reports. Shallow water is also hampering boats and barges: fuel and grain move in smaller loads or shift to more expensive road and rail transport.
Passenger vehicles leaving Serbia for Croatia through Batrovci are waiting about four hours on 7 August, with a queue roughly 5.5 km long. FoNet reports no delay in the other direction; weekend queues may remain the same or grow.
Because works close part of Gospodara Vučića Street between Bulevar kralja Aleksandra and Vojislava Ilića Street, routes 46 and 55 are diverted from 7 to 16 August. Route 46 uses Vojislava Ilića, Ustanička, Bulevar kralja Aleksandra and Mite Ružića in both directions, while 55 follows different detours towards Zvezdara and back.
N1 relays a Nova ekonomija report saying that none of the 30 CAF trams is currently in service, leaving GSP to rely on older vehicles without air conditioning. A union representative estimates that, among 113 trams entering service, at most 15 new Bozankaya vehicles are air-conditioned, provided they run all day without breakdowns. GSP had not responded by publication.
