Surčin interchange ramps and a lane close from 5 to 10 August

Works will run at the Surčin interchange from 5 August at 12:00 until 10 August at 09:00. In a Putevi Srbije notice relayed by Danas, the exit from the Niš/Čačak direction toward Surčin, the entry from Surčin toward Novi Sad/Belgrade, and the right lane of the Dobanovci–Surčin road will close; traffic will use the left lane under signal control.

At the borders: passenger vehicles wait up to 50 minutes

At 08:38 on 3 August, AMSS reported no longer border delays: passenger vehicles waited up to 50 minutes leaving via Preševo and Gostun, 30 minutes via Gradina, and 25 minutes via Strezimirovci. The morning queues reported by Border Police change during the day, so check current information before travelling.

Pantelej residents demand that freight trains bypass the neighbourhood

Residents of Niš’s Pantelej district are continuing protests and a petition against the current rail-bypass route. Organisers want a safety study on freight trains passing through the neighbourhood and freight traffic moved outside it; a meeting with representatives of a European bank is scheduled for 4 August.

Police record 5,880 traffic offences on the first day of heightened checks

Police found 5,880 offences on the first day of heightened checks, which run until 2 August: 3,544 for speeding, 519 for not wearing seat belts, and 176 for drink-driving. An international ROADPOL operation follows from 3 to 9 August.

Belgrade’s bus line 82 will be rerouted from 2 to 16 August

From 2 to 16 August, because of road maintenance in Jurija Gagarina Street, bus 82 toward Zemun will run via Nehruova, Evropska and Gandijeva streets. The Pijaca Blok 44, Gandijeva and MZ Mladost stops will be temporarily suspended in that direction.

Belgrade lines 26, 30 and 26N are diverted until 8 August

From 1 to 8 August, because of works in Miška Jovanovića Street, lines 26 and 26N run both ways via Husova, Ljubička, Kumodraška, Darvinova and Zaplanjska; line 30 uses the same diversion between Ustanička and Medakovićeva. Lines 26 and 26N skip four stops and line 30 skips two, while two temporary Centralno groblje 1 stops operate in Darvinova Street.
