A state of emergency was declared in Sombor, Kula and Vrbas over record-low Danube levels
Vojvodina authorities declared a state of emergency in Sombor, Kula and Vrbas because of historically low Danube levels and adverse hydrological conditions. They allocated 270 million dinars for urgent measures and works to keep the Danube–Tisa–Danube system functioning; on July 29 the level reached −127 cm.
