Voter-register commission seeks data on 133,134 new citizens

SSP members of the voter-register review commission asked the Interior Ministry for data to check whether people who obtained citizenship and voted in the past five years actually live in Serbia, N1 reports. From 2020 to 2025, 133,134 people acquired citizenship. Demographer Vladimir Nikitović says this fits the long-term average and that the number alone cannot establish a targeted political scheme.

‘Studentska lista’ is registered as an association until May 2028

Students in the blockade movement said their ‘Studentska lista’ association has been entered in the Business Registers Agency. Danas and 021 report that it was registered on 21 May and an amended APR decision sets its term through 1 May 2028; its stated aims include election observation and protection of voting rights.

Students in blockade announce five days of outreach in Belgrade and Vladimirci

From 3 to 7 August, the Students in Blockade movement plans conversations with residents in Zemun, Vračar, Palilula and Vladimirci. Door-to-door outreach in Vračar is announced daily from 17:00 to 20:00, while a Palilula stand is due in Ruzveltova Street on 3 August from 18:00 to 21:00.

Eko straža says its founder was questioned by UKP over the sonic-weapon case

Danas reports that activist Bojan Simišić was held at the border after a work trip and gave a statement as a citizen to the Criminal Police Administration’s counter-terrorism service before being released. It carries Eko straža’s statement that the inquiry concerns claims of a possible sonic-weapon simulation at the 15 March 2025 protest.

Twenty-one months after 16 people died in the station-canopy collapse, the main trial of six defendants has yet to begin; the indictment was confirmed and house arrest extended. N1 also relays Radar's reporting on correspondence involving presidential-office staff: the correspondence is linked to indictment material, but conclusions about political responsibility remain source assessments rather than a court finding.
