Radic summoned for computer forensics; lawyer calls it a 'campaign'

After the June 22 searches, Aleksandar Radic told N1 he had been summoned to military police for forensic examination of seized computers, while Danas carried lawyer Stefan Corda's account: three VJT prosecutors rotated during the search, Radic was questioned about statements on the 'sound cannon,' and Corda sees no elements of a crime. Danas also reports former prosecutor Jasmina Paunovic's view that an investigation against students and citizens over an alleged simulation has no basis, while Kurir carries Ana Brnabic's statement that the 'sound cannon' story was a pre-planned lie against Aleksandar Vucic.

Radic says he was summoned to military police for forensics on computers seized during searches

(Radić kaže da je pozvan u Vojnu policiju radi veštačenja računara oduzetih tokom pretresa)

N1 reports that Aleksandar Radic received a summons from a military police officer for forensic examination of computers police seized during the June 22 searches; Radic said he would attend with lawyer Stefan Corda. He claims the Military Security Agency and its director Djuro Jovanic are behind the events, linking this to his criticism of the army's condition and leadership since 2018. N1 recalls VJT's June 22 statement: the search was carried out on a preliminary-proceedings judge's order over Radic's statements in the 'sound cannon' case; lawyer Corda earlier said the searches ended around 21:00, police inspected devices in detail, including some of his daughter's computers, and prosecutors did not seek detention.

FBD warns the new wave of VJT activity must not be seen only as individual repression

(FBD upozorio da novi talas aktivnosti VJT ne sme biti posmatran samo kroz pojedinačne represije)

N1 carries the Forum for Security and Democracy statement: the organization says the new wave of Belgrade VJT activity should not be seen only as individual 'manifestations of repression,' including the action targeting Aleksandar Radic. FBD links this line to prosecutorial announcements about collecting information against people allegedly involved in spreading disinformation about 'sound cannon' use on March 15, 2025. The forum describes the events as a dangerous phase of state repression and a propaganda campaign against groups and individuals connected with student and citizen protests.

Brnabic: The public knew there was no sound cannon

(Brnabić: Javnost je znala da nije bilo zvučnog topa)

N1 carries Ana Brnabic's statement on TV Pink: she claims the public knew allegations of 'sound cannon' use at the March 15, 2025 Belgrade protest were false, and says the new information is the version that the story had been 'planned a month and a half before the rally.' N1 recalls that VJT announced on June 22 it would prosecute everyone found to have prepared, organized, carried out, and then spread the same narrative about alleged device use; students in blockade reject this as a lie and a diversion from the question of what happened on March 15. N1 also repeats the chronology: police first denied having LRAD 450XL devices, then said they were in storage, while Danas earlier reported they were mounted on police vehicles on Belgrade streets.

Aleksandar Radic's lawyer: This is a campaign, there are no elements of a crime

(Advokat Aleksandra Radića: U pitanju je hajka, nema elemenata krivičnog dela)

Danas reports lawyer Stefan Corda's statement: three VJT prosecutors rotated during the search of Aleksandar Radic's apartment, and Radic was questioned, among other things, about media appearances and statements on the 'sound cannon.' Corda said Radic is being linked to preparation of an attack on the constitutional order and security of the Republic of Serbia, but he sees it as a 'campaign' and says there are no elements of a crime. According to him, forensic work on seized computers is being carried out on June 23: devices are removed from special packaging, content is identified and copied to another medium; military police are involved because of sensitive material Radic possesses.

Paunovic: No grounds for an investigation into alleged simulation of sound-cannon use

(Paunović: Nema elemenata za istragu o navodnoj simulaciji upotrebe zvučnog topa)

Danas, citing Beta, reports former VJT prosecutor Jasmina Paunovic's assessment: in her view, there is no basis to open an investigation against students and citizens over an alleged simulation of 'sound cannon' use on March 15, 2025. She says there is no separate crime of 'sound cannon simulation' and that it is unacceptable to tie the case to students and around 3,000 citizens whom doctors diagnosed with injuries. Paunovic also said the search and bringing in of Aleksandar Radic represent the 'materialization' of this line through intimidation, while Belgrade VJT earlier said it would prosecute everyone found to have prepared, organized, carried out and spread the narrative about alleged device use.

Ana Brnabic on the sound cannon: It was a pre-planned lie

(Ana Brnabić o lažima o zvučnom topu)

Kurir carries Ana Brnabic's pro-government framing from TV Pink's morning program: she said the 'sound cannon lie' had been planned at least a month and a half before the March 15 protest and that the goal was an attack on President Aleksandar Vucic. Brnabic claims the opposition and 'blockaders' wanted to present Vucic as someone who 'shoots his people in the back' and to deepen social division; according to her, the 'sound cannon' version entered three European Parliament resolutions without evidence. Kurir also writes that plenum documents allegedly contained minutes of a meeting where simulation of device use was planned.
