Belgrade prosecution asks police to identify people behind false Music Week incident posts

On June 29, the High-Tech Crime Department of the Higher Public Prosecutor's Office instructed police to collect information and identify people who posted false social-media claims about alleged incidents at Belgrade Music Week on Usce. Prosecutors point to the possible offense of causing panic and disorder; MUP and the ambulance service said they had no recorded injuries or incidents, while organizers told Danas the festival ended without events that endangered the audience or program.

Ammonia leak from a cold-storage facility in Guca stopped

Around 00:50 on June 28, ammonia leaked at Prvomajska 9 in Guca; MUP said seven people were evacuated, four were taken to the hospital in Cacak, ammonia transfer was completed, and the firefighter-rescue intervention ended at 06:55. A public warning was activated at 02:27, but some Telekom Srbija users received it through the "Pronadji me" system instead of the regular emergency-alert system.

Darko Veskovic Prika killed in Kumodraz as police search for gunman

On the evening of June 22, N1, Kurir, and Novosti reported a shooting in a cafe in Kumodraz 2 / Vozdovac: one man was killed and another was wounded and taken to VMA. N1 and Novosti identify the killed man as Darko Veskovic, known as Prika; N1, citing Nova.rs, adds that a first-instance 15-year sentence annulled two months earlier concerned the 2018 killing of Blazo Djurovic. Kurir writes that the attacker fled, police launched the Vihor 3 operation, and investigators are establishing the circumstances and motive.

Boy seriously injured in overnight Belgrade crash as N1 updates tram account

On the morning of June 22, Danas and Novosti, citing emergency services, reported that a boy on a bicycle was seriously injured at the corner of Bulevar kralja Aleksandra and Ulica Svetozara Markovića; N1 later added a note to its initial agency item saying GSP told other media the crash was caused by a car, not a tram. All three sources also report an overnight fight in Novi Beograd in which two young men were seriously injured.

Car of Dinko Gruhonjic's son vandalized in Novi Sad as media groups demand family protection

N1, Danas, and 021 reported on June 21 that the previous evening the car of David Gruhonjic, son of journalist and professor Dinko Gruhonjic, was smashed and badly damaged in Novi Sad's Liman area. Witnesses said three younger men wearing balaclavas attacked the vehicle in a parking lot; police came to the scene, David and Dinko Gruhonjic gave statements along with witnesses, and ANEM and NDNV demanded an urgent investigation and protection for the family.

VJT orders a check of threats to Veselin Milic in Belgrade district jail

After a filing from Veselin Milic's defense lawyer, prosecutors ordered the Second Basic Prosecutor's Office to identify unknown persons who allegedly threatened him in Belgrade district jail. The prison administration told N1/Danas it strictly follows safety procedures for all detainees, while Danas recalls that on June 12 the court extended Milic's custody until July 12 in the failure-to-report-a-crime-and-perpetrator branch.
