Novi Sad-Gas is set to merge into Srbijagas, transferring 94 employees

A draft agreement proposes merging the state-owned Novi Sad-Gas into Srbijagas, transferring all assets and liabilities as well as 94 workers. It cites uninterrupted, stable natural-gas supply as the goal; this is a draft, not notice of a completed merger.

Emergency headquarters reviews historically low Danube levels

On July 28, the Republic Emergency Situations Headquarters reviewed a critical hydrological situation caused by historically low Danube levels. It recommended that Vode Vojvodine, Srbijavode and other bodies continue measures for the Danube–Tisa–Danube system and stable water supply, while intensifying monitoring of effects on energy and navigation.

Vučić expects the Russian-stake sale in NIS to finish by end-September

Serbian President Aleksandar Vučić said he hopes to complete the transaction to buy the Russian stake in NIS by the end of September. This is a target rather than an announced agreement: N1 says the talks concern the sale of Gazprom Neft's stake, with the outcome dependent on completing technical work and external approvals.

Low Danube cuts Đerdap 1 output to one third

On the Bezdan–Bogojevo stretch, the Danube fell to minus 120 cm. N1 reports that Đerdap 1 output has dropped to one third; EPS says electricity supply will remain stable, but shallow water is already hampering shipping and fuel deliveries.

Low Danube levels complicate fuel imports; firms may use operational reserves

The Mining and Energy Ministry has allowed companies that applied to use their own operational euro-diesel reserves to secure market supply. According to 021, low Danube levels have complicated barge deliveries, but state reserves have not been used so far.
