The University of Niš has 1,629 places left in its second admissions round
The University of Niš reported 1,629 places open for the 2026/27 academic year. The second admissions round runs from September 1 to 18: applications are due September 1–4 and entrance exams are scheduled for September 7–11.

RSD 37.2 million allocated to repair a school roof in Senta
Vojvodina's government allocated RSD 37.2 million for repair and adaptation of the roof at Stevan Sremac primary school in Senta. According to 021, strong winds and heavy rain last week seriously damaged it; the funds are intended to start works quickly.
A blockade-backed list won all seats in Novi Sad PMF’s student parliament
In elections for the student parliament of Novi Sad’s Faculty of Sciences, the blockade-backed “Nije prirodno ćutati” list won every mandate. N1 reports that 304 of 357 voters supported it.
Government funds 6,612 master’s places for 2026/27
Serbia’s government will fund 6,612 first-year places in professional and academic master’s programmes and 972 doctoral places in the 2026/27 academic year. The master’s total includes 73 places each for people with disabilities and members of the Roma community through affirmative measures.

Belgrade says RSD 20,000 in school aid will be paid by end-September
Belgrade mayor Aleksandar Šapić said all parents will receive the city's RSD 20,000 school aid by the end of September. He said everyone should have received a total of RSD 10,000 by September 1, with the remainder paid during September.
