Schools receive instructions for student visits to EXPO 2027

The Education Ministry sent primary and secondary schools professional guidance for study visits to EXPO 2027 in Belgrade. According to N1/Beta and Kurir, the visits are planned for May 17-June 25, 2027, are not mandatory, require parent or legal-guardian consent, and transport and tickets are promised free for all pupils.

Mother and Child Institute director says children were not at risk after acid spill

Dr Vukan Cupic Institute director Vladislav Vukomanovic told Nova.rs/N1 that children were not at risk after sulfuric acid with a chromium mixture spilled, because the autopsy room is in another building and no one was injured. He also said he does not know why bottles with the carcinogenic substance were in the room where they broke.

Three Zvezdara streets without water on July 3 from 8:00 to 22:00

Beoinfo, citing Belgrade Waterworks and Sewerage, reported that on July 3, because a new pipeline is being put into operation, consumers in Radeta Markovica, Radmile Savicevic, and Steve Zigona streets will be without water from 8:00 to 22:00. Water tankers are announced for drinking-water needs, and information is available through the city service center 11-0-11 and the free landline number 0800/110-011.

Night works close the passing lane from Belgrade to Zmaj toward Novi Sad until July 4

021 writes that horizontal road-marking works are being carried out on the state-road section from the Belgrade interchange to the Zmaj interchange toward Novi Sad until July 4, from 23:00 to 05:00. During the works the passing lane is closed and traffic uses the driving lane; Putevi Srbije says the zone will be secured with appropriate signage and equipment.

Two work zones change GSP routes and stops in Belgrade

Kurir, citing Belgrade's public-transport secretariat, reports two service changes: works in Ulica brace Jerkovic change routes 18, 18N, ADA 3, 50, and 80 until July 15, while sewer-network repair in Ulica Endija Vorhola temporarily cancels the Valjevska stop toward Zarkovo on routes 56, 87, 89, and 511N until August 15.

After record heat, RHMZ warns of storms and hail

The first day of July brings a sharp weather shift: after June records and 41 C in Kikinda and Palic, RHMZ warns of showers, thunderstorms, possible hail, and strong or storm-force wind on July 1-2. Later, N1 specified a Belgrade and next-two-hours alert, while meteorologist Goran Mihajlovic told RTS/Danas that short 30-60 minute storms should be followed by 7-10 days of more comfortable temperatures up to 32-33 C.
