Ada Ciganlija pedestrian overpass to move to Autokomanda

Belgrade's construction-land directorate has launched a procurement for dismantling, transporting, and reinstalling the pedestrian overpass from Ada Ciganlija at Autokomanda. The 41.2-meter structure is meant to connect public-transport stops at Autokomanda with the Beograd Jug station.

Traffic around Usce changes on June 17 for the Lenny Kravitz concert

Because of the Lenny Kravitz concert at Usce, the city announced full closures on parts of Bulevar Nikole Tesle and Usce Street from 10:00/16:00 on June 17 until 01:00 on June 18. Buses 15, 84, 704, 706, 707, 9A, and 60/60L will use changed routes.

Police increase alcohol and drug checks on drivers through June 21

From June 15 to 21, Serbia is running intensified checks for drivers under the influence of alcohol and psychoactive substances; on June 19, ROADPOL's 24-hour Alcohol and Drugs Marathon will use available breathalyzers and drug-testing devices.

BG Voz is getting 30 new trains, but infrastructure remains the question

N1 reports that Srbijavoz is buying 30 new Spanish CAF trains for BG Voz with a state guarantee for a 5.5 billion dinar, or 46.9 million euro, loan. Transport engineer Ivan Bankovic warns that without parallel investment in tracks, stations, platforms, and station access, the new trains may mainly stabilize the timetable rather than sharply increase urban-line frequency.

A metro exhibition space is being prepared at Slavija, but no opening date is given

N1 reported that JP Beogradski metro i voz is preparing premises under the Slavija square plateau as a future "Belgrade metro exhibition space", but the company did not answer what it will be for or when it will open. Milos Vuckovic of Kreni-promeni called it a "Potemkin village" and again tied the dispute to metro delays and the first line routed through Belgrade Waterfront instead of Prokop and the Clinical Center of Serbia.

GSP Beograd, according to CLS, lost about 70 million dinars over the tracking system

On June 13, the Center for Local Self-Government said GSP Beograd was short about 70 million dinars for May because of failures and unreliability in the Bus Logic public-transport tracking and control system. CLS says the problem concerns unrecognized departures while private operators prove trips by other methods, and says it will analyze payments from the city budget and file criminal complaints if it finds irregularities.
