In Belgrade, lows of 22-25 °C and highs around 38 °C are expected. Chronically ill and sensitive people are advised to be cautious, reduce physical activity, and avoid sun from 11:00 to 16:00.

N1 relays AMSS's morning notice: because of high temperatures, drivers are advised to plan trips early in the morning or late in the evening. Fewer vehicles are expected on the roads than in previous days; on the morning of June 28 there were no waits at toll stations or border crossings for passenger or freight vehicles.

Kurir writes that RHMZ issued warnings for a heatwave through the weekend and early next week, with highs of 35-39 °C and an increased risk of outdoor fires in dry regions. Belgrade is expected to see very high daytime temperatures and tropical nights, with highs of 35-39 °C and lows of 20-25 °C. A red weather alert is in force for Belgrade, Srem, Banat, Backa, and western Serbia, while other parts of the country are under orange alert.

Danas reports that at 12:00 on June 28, 35 °C was measured in Belgrade, Novi Sad, Sombor, Zrenjanin, Kikinda, Sremska Mitrovica, and Palic. By feels-like temperature, Novi Sad was hottest at 39 °C and Belgrade at 38 °C. RHMZ warned that the heatwave continues until Thursday, July 2, and can trigger and spread outdoor fires; for June 29, Belgrade is expected to see about 24 °C overnight and about 39 °C during the day.
