Wildfire in Deliblatska Sands has spread across more than 300 hectares
A new wildfire broke out in Deliblatska Sands at about 14:00 on 6 August and rapidly spread across more than 300 hectares in the heat and wind. According to Interior Ministry emergency-sector chief Luka Čaušić, more than 80 responders, volunteer firefighters and Vojvodinašume are on site, with three ministry helicopters overhead; heavy machinery is expected to cut firebreaks.
