N1 and Danas report that an extraordinary session of the High Prosecutorial Council is scheduled for June 18, with temporary assignment of public prosecutors to the Organized Crime Prosecutor's Office among the proposed agenda items. The issue is directly tied to the Venice Commission's follow-up opinion on the Mrdic laws, which singled out the fact that not all prosecutors had been returned to TOK as unresolved.
021 reports that students blockading Novi Sad faculties are calling a large protest on June 20 at the turbo roundabout, at the junction of Fruskogorska and Bulevar cara Lazara. In its June 15 morning politics block, Danas writes that one possible scenario for Aleksandar Vucic is to resign in two or three months, call a presidential election, calmly lose it to a candidate proposed by students and adopted by the protesting part of society, then move into the prime minister's office, reconstruct the government, and remain in power until early 2028 and the end of EXPO.
Danas first analyzed the legal scenario if Aleksandar Vucic resigns: Ana Brnabic would become acting president and a new election would have to be called within 90 days. Later, Danas, Novosti and N1 covered his TV Prva appearance: Vucic said that before resigning he would seek a majority for education changes, and that on June 27 outside parliament he would announce the list name and slogans; N1 separately noted his claim that he was allegedly banned from N1 and the newsroom's response that he had refused invitations for 11 years.
