On July 20, northern Serbia will see more sunshine, while other areas may get rain, showers, and thunderstorms. Local storms with hail and strong or gale-force winds are expected in the southwest and south during the afternoon and evening; Belgrade will be mostly sunny and around 29°C.
During the afternoon and evening of July 19, western and southwestern Serbia can expect showers and thunderstorms, with local hail and strong winds. In the evening, the storm zone is expected to move through Vojvodina, then Belgrade and Šumadija, followed by a noticeable temperature drop.
RHMZ has warned of showers and thunderstorms on the evenings of July 18 and 19, and again on the afternoon and evening of July 21. On Tuesday, storms in central and southern Serbia may locally bring hail and strong or gale-force wind.
After a tropical night, N1 forecasts 32-36 C nationally; Belgrade should be mostly dry and muggy, with a high near 33 C. Local brief showers and thunderstorms are mainly possible later in the day in western Vojvodina and mountainous areas.
On July 12, most of Serbia remains under variable cloud with rain, showers, and thunderstorms; N1 expects the heaviest rain, strong wind, and hail risk in Srem, Belgrade, central Serbia, and southern Serbia. The weather service will issue urgent local warnings one to two hours ahead; precipitation should ease in the evening, with highs of 27-31 C.
Serbia's Interior Ministry emergency sector told Kurir that more than 17,000 emergencies have been recorded this year, including about 12,500 fires and almost 7,500 in open areas. It urged people not to burn grass, low vegetation, or crop residue, and not to light fires in or at the edge of forests.
