Southwestern and southern Serbia expect storms with hail and gale-force winds

On July 20, northern Serbia will see more sunshine, while other areas may get rain, showers, and thunderstorms. Local storms with hail and strong or gale-force winds are expected in the southwest and south during the afternoon and evening; Belgrade will be mostly sunny and around 29°C.

Serbia faces showers, thunderstorms, and hail; an orange warning covers parts of the country

On July 12, most of Serbia remains under variable cloud with rain, showers, and thunderstorms; N1 expects the heaviest rain, strong wind, and hail risk in Srem, Belgrade, central Serbia, and southern Serbia. The weather service will issue urgent local warnings one to two hours ahead; precipitation should ease in the evening, with highs of 27-31 C.

Serbian MUP urges people not to burn grass: about 12,500 fires recorded this year

Serbia's Interior Ministry emergency sector told Kurir that more than 17,000 emergencies have been recorded this year, including about 12,500 fires and almost 7,500 in open areas. It urged people not to burn grass, low vegetation, or crop residue, and not to light fires in or at the edge of forests.
