Card
On June 26, Dubravka Valić Nedeljković said four elected REM Council members who had resigned would return only with guarantees: the ninth member should be chosen after national-council elections, and Ištvan Bodžoni should not be on the candidate harmonization list. The parliamentary committee meanwhile concluded that there are no legal obstacles to their return because parliament did not verify the resignations.

N1/Beta reports that Dubravka Valić Nedeljković, who resigned from the REM Council along with three other elected members, told UNS that they agreed to return to the process if they receive guarantees that the ninth member will be chosen only after national-council elections and that Ištvan Bodžoni will not be on the candidate harmonization list. She said legitimacy would otherwise be disputed, while parliament has not verified their resignations. On Ivana Rokvić's proposal, the parliamentary Culture and Information Committee adopted a conclusion that there are no legal obstacles for the four members to submit statements accepting membership and continuing their functions because the resignations were not confirmed and verified in parliament. The committee also called on them to withdraw the resignations and proposed that the REM Council, once constituted, withdraw the regulator's statute from parliamentary procedure and prepare a new text for approval.

Danas carries the same Beta report at 13:45 on June 26 and specifies the conditions named by Dubravka Valić Nedeljković: the ninth REM Council member should be chosen after national-council elections, Ištvan Bodžoni should not be on the harmonization list, and because parliament did not verify the resignations, the four members could return. The outlet also records that, on Ivana Rokvić's proposal, the committee concluded there are no legal obstacles if the four members submit statements accepting membership and continuing their functions. Danas notes another part of the conclusion: once constituted, the REM Council should withdraw the regulator's statute from parliament and prepare a new text for parliamentary approval.
