Danas, citing RTS and official information, writes that a severe storm hit northern Vojvodina, especially Backa and Banat, and then Belgrade. RHMZ issued an urgent warning for more than 20 mm of rain in a short time, hail, and storm winds; RHMZ and the Interior Ministry began the procedure for sending emergency SMS information and urged people not to travel and to protect vehicles and property. In Belgrade, intense downpours with thunder, hail, and storm winds were expected over the next two hours; Danas said parts of Zemun lost electricity and streets had large amounts of water. In Backa, firefighters intervened because of lightning and wind: around 16:30 in Backa Topola about 500 m2 of unharvested barley and oats burned, in Gunaros about 800 m2 of wheat burned, an object in Novo Orahovo suffered material damage, and trees fell onto roads in Karadjordjevo and Misicevo.

Kurir ran an updated article from 17:30 to 20:25 and wrote that a strong storm with hail and heavy downpours first reached the Subotica area, then spread to much of Vojvodina and affected Belgrade in the evening. The outlet relayed RHMZ's warning of rain, showers, thunder, locally hail, and storm winds in the north, and in the evening and overnight in western, central, and eastern Serbia; Belgrade was also expected to see thunderstorm downpours and local severe weather. Kurir, citing the Subotica Police Administration, reported smaller open-area fires and trees on roads: around 16:30 in Backa Topola, 500 m2 of barley and oats burned, in Gunaros lightning ignited about 800 m2 of wheat, and in Karadjordjevo and Misicevo wind knocked down trees. According to the update, RHMZ separately warned Srem, southern Backa, and Banat of a strong thunderstorm, while Belgrade and Zemun saw heavy rain with thunder and storm winds.
