How the issue method works

The site regularly checks N1, Danas, Kurir, and Novosti as its baseline set, and for Belgrade and Novi Sad it also uses local media and official city services. Cards stay inside the shared daily feed: a service item may rely on one reliable official or local source when it provides concrete details residents can act on.

Method

What readers see in a card

  • A short summary answers what happened today and why it matters.
  • Each source block includes a translated headline, the original headline in parentheses, and a link to the original publication.
  • The source directory shows whether an outlet is national media, local media, or an official city source, and local service entries show their city and service coverage.
  • If a card has a photo, a visible caption under it names the source and the page where the image came from.

How to read the labels

Two sides

The card has at least an independent and a pro-government frame so readers can see the difference in emphasis.

Multiple sources

Several publications covered the story, but they do not necessarily split into two clear editorial lines.

One side

At publication time, confirmed material was found from one source or within one editorial frame.

Local

A practical city item: transport, services, urbanism, ecology, or another everyday-life story.
