Since June 19, 2026, Belgrade's Higher Public Prosecutor's Office has been checking a separate version: whether student structures had discussed simulating such use in advance.

In June 2026 this mechanism became central to the dispute over the plan along Bulevar despota Stefana, which critics call "Novi Sad na vodi": after several thousand objections, the Planning Commission session was moved to June 30 at 09:00.

Updated: June 20, 2026 at 10:21 AMSmart Plan is a 2019 transport plan for Novi Sad. It promised 123 new buses by 2027, a tram, bus lanes, simpler fares, and passenger information, but by June 2026 it had only been partly delivered.
